Gretjen Clausing

Executive Director
My independent film roots go back to late 80s in Philadelphia where I worked as a film curator and communications specialist on repertory film programs and festivals. Prior to becoming the ED of PhillyCAM in 2009, I was the Program Director at the nationally recognized media arts center Scribe Video Center. I have served on the boards of NAMAC, the Philadelphia Independent Film Video Association and the Leeway Foundation. Back in the late 90’s, I joined the Philadelphia Community Access Coalition, the grassroots group that successfully lobbied for the creation of public access television in Philadelphia, a landmark victory. That is when my work in community media and my relationship with the ACM really began. As an undergrad at Ithaca College I worked on the college radio station so I’m very excited to be back on the air hosting Pulling Focus, a radio show on indie film and digital media culture, on PhillyCAM’s LPFM radio station WPPM.
