Connect, create and communicate. These three words are Erica's mantra. Both at her position with Somerville Media Center and as a Board President of the Alliance for Community Media-NE, she works hard to build on and expand engagement efforts with other community organizations, residents and media centers in greater Boston area and more largely in the Northeast. In 2008, she began working in the community media field while in Albuquerque, NM, working as an AmeriCorps VISTA at ABQ's Quote-Unquote Community Media Center. Her bread and butter is partnership building, community engagement, fundraising, social media communications, outreach, collaborations, membership engagement and overall creating meaningful connections. She lives in Somerville with her adorable cat, Blue Jean Baby Jones and her lovely partner Vanessa, and loves learning about new endeavors happening at other media centers nationwide and is excited to share some of her successes and challenges with those who ask!
